2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Great Falls Shrine Pipe Band will be participating in the Great Falls St. Patrick’s day parade on Tuesday, 3/17/2015 at 3:30pm.

The band will be meeting at 3pm at the south side of the Civic Center.

The uniform for the day will be spats, diced hose, kilt, horse hair sporran, green (or red for drummers) coat, belt and cross belt, plaid and Glen Garry, for those that have them. For those that don’t have all of the uniform, please wear what you have. It may be cold and rainey, so please be prepared!

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Scottish Rite Clean-Up October 26, 2014

The annual Scottish Rite building clean up will be this coming Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 1pm. This is an event where all of the groups that use the building get together and do some basic cleaning (dusting, mopping, vacuum, washing, etc) in exchange for being allowed to use the building for their events. After the cleaning, pizza and soda will be provided.

As we do use the building as much, if not more, than any of the other groups, we really need to have a good showing on Sunday afternoon, so please plan to attend if at all possible!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

4th of July Parade

The Great Falls Shrine Pipe Band will be participating in the Great Falls 4th of July parade.

The band will be meeting at 10:30am at the corner of 8th Street and Central Ave.

The uniform for the day will be spats, diced hose, kilt, horse hair sporran, belt, white shirt and Glen Garry.

The weather should be perfect, 80’s with a breeze, and we actually have an official space in the parade this year, so it should be a great time!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

New Pipe Major Announced

At the last business meeting, Bill Vischer announced he would be stepping down as Pipe Major and that Pipe Sergeant Bob Kampfer would be assuming that position effective immediately. Bill will remain active with the band but as a regular playing member rather than the PM.

We would like to thank Bill for all of his years of service as Pipe Major and wish Bob great success in the years to come!
